During a brow lift procedure, the skin on the upper part of the face, from the area in between the eyes to the crown of the head, is firmed and lifted to provide a smoother appearance. This also eliminates the furrows and creases that are often common as a person ages.

Dermal fillers such as Botox® smooth the forehead only on a temporary basis. A brow lift provides longer-lasting results and does not cause the muscles in the forehead to become paralyzed or frozen.

If you are plagued with deep forehead wrinkles, frown lines, or furrows between your eyes, a brow lift procedure could be right for you.

Stop smoking and limit your consumption of alcohol to no more than one or two drinks per day.

An aesthetician will cleanse your skin and then pull your hair back away from your face. You will be provided local anesthesia via a syringe, ensuring you are numb in your forehead area. One or more tiny incisions will be made along your hairline so that excess skin and tissue can be accessed. Your physician will then pull these tissues up and over tightly so that your forehead is firmer and more uplifted. Sutures will secure everything in place, and then any excess skin that is remaining will simply be trimmed away.

Most brow lifts performed at one of our four office locations take one to two hours.

You may have a slight headache, which can be alleviated with over-the-counter medication.

Most scars are hidden by your hair and therefore cannot be seen.

Your forehead lift procedure will provide immediate results, and you can expect slight improvement over the next few weeks as your skin returns to normal.

The results of your brow lift can last 10, 15, or even 20 years.

After undergoing a brow lift, you may notice sagging or drooping eyelids even more, in which case a blepharoplasty might be needed.
