Technically known as botulinum toxin type A, Botox® is one of the most popular dermal fillers on the market. It is effective at blocking nerve signals to the muscles in the forehead, providing a smoother overall appearance. Botox® is one of the minimally invasive procedures we offer, requiring only the insertion of a very thin needle into the forehead area.

One of our board-certified physicians will prepare the Botox® solution, the amount needed varies from patient to patient. Your forehead will then be examined to determine where this solution should be placed. Depending upon your goals, you may receive injections in more than one area of your brow or forehead. A light massage might then be applied to ensure even distribution.

Only a few minutes, sometimes as little as half an hour.

There may be bruising or redness near your injection site, and you may also experience a headache. Apply ice to your forehead if swelling occurs, and use over-the-counter medication to manage any discomfort.

This varies between patients; however, the average time is around three months or so.
