Radiesse® in Dayton, OH
Not all dermal fillers are suited for patients who have experienced a more dramatic loss in volume in the face or hands. These individuals could benefit from a Radiesse® injection performed here at Miami Valley Plastic Surgeons, serving patients in Centerville, Dayton, Troy, Huber Heights, and other nearby cities in Ohio.
What Is Radiesse®?
Radiesse® is a dermal filler used to smooth the nasolabial folds that lie between the nose and upper lip, as well as to restore lost volume to sunken areas of the face and hands. It consists of a liquid gel containing calcium-based microspheres, which are absorbed by the body to provide fullness.
Benefits of Radiesse®
Radiesse® provides greater structural support than many other dermal fillers, and can, therefore, be used to treat extremely sunken areas such as the hollows underneath the eyes. It is also effective at restoring fullness to the hands.
Who Is the Ideal Candidate for Radiesse®?
Anyone who does not have any allergies to the ingredients found in Radiesse® can easily consider this treatment.
What do I Need to do Before Radiesse®?
Tell us about any health concerns you have as well as any medications you are taking. We especially need to know if you have had a negative reaction to any dermal filler or injectable treatment in the past.
What Should I Expect on the Day of my Radiesse® Injection?
Arrive 10 to 15 minutes prior to your appointment to allow enough time to complete paperwork before seeing the doctor. Aside from that, there is really nothing else you need to do.
How Long Does it Take to Perform Radiesse®?
Only a very few minutes, as there is very little preparation time required beforehand and the injection itself typically takes less than one minute.
What to Expect After Radiesse®
If you bruise easily, you may notice bluish marks near your injection site. Some light swelling is possible as well.
Will I Have Scars After Getting Radiesse®?
Unlike with other cosmetic procedures, scarring is one thing you do not have to worry about with dermal fillers and injectables such as Radiesse®.
When Will I See the Results?
Most of your results will be seen right away; however, if you experience swelling, the full results will not be visible until after it goes down. This typically takes a day or two at most.
How Long Will the Results of Radiesse® Last?
Your results may vary, but the average time frame is between nine and 15 months.
Additional Procedures to Enhance Your Radiesse® Results
Since Radiesse® is not suitable for injecting into the lips, you may want to consider a Juvederm® injection if you are also experiencing a loss in lip volume.
How Much Does Radiesse® Cost in Dayton?
Because you may have different needs than any other patient, we will not be able to discuss the exact cost with you until after your consultation. Cash, personal checks, and credit cards are always accepted for any of the procedures we offer, and many of our patients will also qualify for low-interest financing.
Just because you have sunken, hollow cheeks or deep laugh lines does not mean you are destined for surgery. If you live in Dayton, Centerville, Huber Heights, Beavercreek, or the surrounding cities in Ohio, please contact us here at Miami Valley Plastic Surgeons to find out more about Radiesse®.
